Volunteering has been part of my life since I started high school and realized how much I loved helping others and making a difference in my community. Take a look at my volunteer work below!
Royal Bay Life Skills Symposium: Presenter
november 2022
This event involved speaking to Grade 10 students in Career Life Education about the transition from high school to post-secondary.
Cineplex Community Day: Volunteer
october 2018; december 2019
Cineplex Community Day raises money for various non-profit organizations in Canada. I volunteered at this event in both 2018 and 2019.

Royal Bay Colour Run: Main Organizer
may 2018; may 2019
In 2018, a partner and I created the Royal Bay Colour Run which raised money for the Canadian World Education Society (CanWES). My role as a main organizer involved getting approval from the City of Colwood, writing communication materials, and overseeing 30 volunteers. We put the event on again in 2019 and in total, raised over $2000 for CanWES.

10,000 Tonight: Main Organizer
December 2017; december 2018
10,000 Tonight is a food drive that has the goal of collecting at least 10,000 non-perishable food items in a single night. Volunteers canvass the communities and collect door-to-door donations.
I was a main organizer for the event in 2017 and 2018 which involved creating communication materials, doing interviews with local media, and overseeing 100+ volunteers. Between 2017 and 2018, Royal Bay donated over 35,000 food items to the Goldstream Food Bank.

Island Sexual Health: SD62 Sexual Health Ambassadors
november 2016 – may 2017
SD62 Sexual Health Ambassadors was a volunteer program for high school students to learn about sexual health and then promote it in the community. After completing two phases of Sexual Health Ambassadors training, I was interviewed on CBC radio to promote the group.
